Uganda (Photographers Without Borders)

This is what many of the neighborhoods in Walukuba look like. Garbage is only seen as garbage, not a problem. Villagers don't have awareness of the health and environmental hazards associated with large piles of garbage everywhere in the village. X-SUBA is trying to change this attitude starting with the children.

Boats at the small Port of Masese. This small port serves as a trading center on market day, when craftsmen and farmers from the islands in the distance come to shore to trade their goods.

Dan has a small shop in Masese Port. He's one of the local leaders who has been very helpful with X-SUBA's Learning Center. One of his favorite shirts is one he received for helping X-SUBA's 2018 Sexual Reproductive Health day.
