An old mural on Huanchaco's northernmost beaches depicting the proud heritage of life with the ocean, the infamous caballitos, and the endangered totorales used to make the caballitos.
Decommissioned caballitos along Huanchaco's beaches. The fishing craft, the original surf craft, have been Huanchaco's identity for thousands of years. This heritage is endangered by numerous modern-day threats.
